The company was established in the year 1901 by late Mr. Sashi Bhusan Kar who was also the innovator of jute processing system & product diversion commerce in the Indian markets. Mr. Kar has contributed effectively in the domain by uplifting the manufacturing and commercialization of various jute based products. His legacy is being continued by his grandson Mr. Ram Narayan Kar who is the MD of group and his pro grandson Mr. Abheek Kar who is the CEO & Business Head of company. In earlier years, we were trading the various jute products but in mid-20th century, we started manufacturing the aforementioned range of items.

In 1980s, we expanded our range of offerings by adding Sisal & Manila based products in our production. In 2011, we started exporting our products to foreign markets. Over the years, we have developed our strong presence in Qatar, Thailand, Jordan, Malaysia, UAE (Dubai), Saudi Arabia and Morocco. We have our 2 advanced manufacturing units located at Howrah and Baidyabati which are the southern-eastern regions of West Bengal, India. The unit in Howrah is spread in 9360 Sq. ft. and, unit in Baidyabati is spread in 6500 Sq. ft. These units helps us in generating monthly production capacity of more than 150 Tonnes. In adherence to the advanced facilities and resources that we have equipped at our unit, we are able to meet all the quantitative and qualitative requirements of customers for Jute Yarns, Sisal Balls, Manila Yarns, Oiled Lubricated Yarns, Coir Twines and other products on time.
